General information
Trilateral Research is a UK and IE-based enterprise, founded in 2004. Its rigorous research is at the foundation of our work. Trilateral provides regulatory and policy advice; develops new data-driven technologies and contributes to the latest standards in safeguarding privacy, ethics and human rights within the public and private sector.
Trilateral’s teams collaborate across the technology-social disciplinary divide, being able to assess the impact of emerging technologies to avoid adverse and unwanted consequences while delivering sustainable innovation. Trilateral focus its efforts on areas where the application of its research can make a difference in enhancing societal wellbeing.
Role in the project
Trilateral will be leading research on the ethical, legal, privacy and data protection aspects of the CURSOR project, hosting ethics and privacy training workshops for the consortium and conducting an Ethical/Privacy/Data Protection Impact Assessment of the project tools (WP7).
By collaborating with all project members as they develop, test and use the CURSOR technology, Trilateral will help identify and mitigate risks whilst supporting technology-driven innovation.

Mistale Taylor
Mistale Taylor is a Senior Research Analyst within the Applied Research and Innovation team at Trilateral Research. She contributes to ongoing projects related to law, technology, privacy, data protection, human rights and ethics. Mistale Taylor is also a Fellow at the Brussels Privacy Hub, working on questions of privacy and data protection law and policy. She is Counsel at the global pro bono law firm Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG), where she researches various areas of international criminal law and human rights law to provide legal advice for states, governments and NGOs in conflict or post-conflict situations.
Vangjel Gjorgjiev
Vangjel Gjorgjiev is an intern within the Applied Research and Innovation team at Trilateral Research. His work focuses on projects related to data protection, law, ethics, technology and human rights. Vangjel holds two Master of Laws degrees and has authored several publications, academic articles and blogs, but has also drafted statutes, terms of reference and several policies. He is also an Executive Assistant at the Netherlands Quarterly of Human Rights (NQHR), where he edits and proofreads academic publications.
